Jim Guo

Jim Guo currently serves as a Senior Staff Bioinformatics Engineer at Illumina, a position held since September 2023. Prior to this role, Jim Guo worked at Thermo Fisher Scientific from April 2018 to September 2023, where responsibilities included serving as Senior Manager and Staff Scientist in the Clinical Next Generation Sequencing Division. From March 2015 to March 2018, Jim Guo was a Bioinformatics Scientist at Audentes Therapeutics. Earlier experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at the Carnegie Institution for Sciences at Stanford from July 2012 to March 2015 and NSERC Postdoctoral Research Fellow roles at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and Harvard Medical School. Jim Guo earned a PhD in Molecular Biology and Genetics from The University of British Columbia, completing the degree in July 2010.
