Sean Kelly

Sean Kelly is a seasoned scientist with extensive experience in molecular biology and assay development, currently serving as a Senior Scientist at Illumina since June 2022, where responsibilities include developing workflows for sequencing readout protein detection assays and enhancing user experience with robotic systems. Previous roles include Senior Research Associate II at Exact Sciences, where Sean programmed methods for laboratory automation and designed a sample tracking system, and a notable tenure at Luminex Corporation, progressing through several scientific roles while leading studies and optimizing laboratory procedures. Sean also co-founded The Longboard Sling LLC, overseeing product development and operations, and has held various research-based positions at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, contributing to projects in transgenic animal research and molecular biology. Sean holds a degree in Neurobiology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
