Shabhonam Caim

Shabhonam Caim is an experienced bioinformatics professional currently serving as a Senior Bioinformatics Support Scientist at Illumina since January 2022. Prior to this role, Shabhonam worked as a Bioinformatics Scientist at Cambridge Epigenetix, focusing on primary analysis pipelines and big data visualization. Earlier career experience includes positions as a Research Scientist at Quadram Institute and Project Scientist at the Institute of Food Research, as well as a Scientific Programmer at Earlham Institute, where Shabhonam incorporated RNASeq data to enhance bacterial annotation and conducted metagenomics analyses. Shabhonam's background includes significant software development and automation using various programming tools, supported by an MSc in Bioinformatics from the University of East Anglia and a Bachelor of Technology in Bioinformatics from Dr. D.Y.Patil Institute of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics.
