Xin Liu

Xin Liu is a Senior Deep Learning Engineer at Illumina, a position held since February 2022, and previously served as a Deep Learning Engineer. Prior experience includes a role as a Graduate Student Researcher in Machine Learning & Neuroscience at the University of California San Diego from September 2015 to January 2022, where skills in developing novel neural technologies and machine learning algorithms for neural data analysis were honed. Earlier, Xin Liu was an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Harbin Institute of Technology, contributing to the design of online rail flaw detection equipment and energy efficiency simulations. Academic credentials include a PhD and Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from UC San Diego, along with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology.
