Brendan Higgins

Brendan Higgins is a seasoned professional in information security and engineering, currently serving as the Director of Security Engineering at Illumio since June 2024, where responsibilities include leading security architecture, operations, and vulnerability management. Prior to Illumio, Brendan held the position of Director at VMware, overseeing Security Product Engineering and Security Automation Engineering from January 2020 to February 2024 and spearheading the development of a global Security Engineering organization. Brendan's experience also includes serving as the Director of Information Security at Pivotal Software, Inc., where strategic security initiatives were implemented, and a long tenure at Adobe, where various roles encompassed security architecture and systems administration. Brendan holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering and Information Systems from the University of Galway.
