Satyen Kansara

Satyen Kansara has extensive work experience in various technology roles. Satyen currently serves as a Teaching Faculty at UCSC Silicon Valley Extension. Before that, they worked as the Head of Data and Visualization at Illumio. Prior to Illumio, Satyen was a Teaching Instructor at Interview Kickstart. Satyen also held the position of Director of Data Science and Data Engineering at CDK Global from 2020 to 2021.

Satyen's career includes roles at Nutanix as the Director of Engineering - Data Platforms, SavvyShopper as the Head Of Engineering / Co-founder, Infoblox as the Director of Software Development, Juniper Networks as a Software Engineering Manager, and BigBand Networks as a Principal Software Engineer / Director of Engineering.

Satyen'searlier work experience includes positions at Collabera / Caspian Networks / Verizon Communications as a Software Engineer.

Throughout their career, Satyen has contributed to various areas including data science, engineering management, software development, and teaching.

Satyen Kansara obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication from Gujarat University between 1992 and 1996. Satyen later pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at Arizona State University from 1997 to 1999.
