Matthias Straka

Matthias Straka is an experienced sales and operations professional with a diverse background in the hospitality and food service sectors. Currently serving as the Area Sales Manager for Mitteldeutschland at illycaffè since February 2020, Matthias has previously held roles such as Restaurantleiter at Cafe N8 and Unternehmensinhaber at Gastroservice & Barcatering. Additional experience includes multiple leadership positions at BMSS Gastro- und Verwaltungs GmbH, including Betriebsleiter and Barleiter across various establishments. Matthias began their career in the industry as a Barista and has gradually advanced through various roles, including positions at TNC Group and Café Bohème. Educated at IHK zu Halle-Dessau, Matthias is pursuing a Bachelor and a Master's degree in Business Management and holds qualifications in coffee knowledge from UDC Munich illy and a degree in construction technology from SBS Bautechnik Saalfeld.
