Christian Schulz is a seasoned professional in animation and computer vision, currently serving as a Senior Animation Engineer at ILMxLAB since November 2022. Prior experience includes roles as a Computer Vision Engineer at Visual Concepts and a Computer Vision Research Engineer at Magic Leap. Christian's career began as a Computer Vision Software Engineer at Traptic, Inc., where focus was on calibrating a strawberry picking robot. Previous engagements also include serving as R&D Lead Engineer at PhaseSpace, Inc., concentrating on motion capture tracking algorithms, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics, developing algorithms for animated characters. Christian's academic credentials include a PhD in Mathematics from Freie Universität Berlin and a Master's degree in Computer Science from Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg.
