Michael Nicolaou, CPA, CA has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries. Currently, they serve as the Director of Finance at iLobby® Visitor Management, a software provider for complex enterprises. In this role, they oversee financial reporting, FP&A, tax, treasury, and finance transformation, and is responsible for leading the system conversion project. Michael was recognized for their exceptional performance and received the "Outwork Others" award in 2022.
Prior to their current role, Michael worked as the Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis at Dealer-FX Group, Inc, a software provider to car dealerships. Michael played a crucial role in the acquisition of Dealer-FX by Snap-On, where they developed financial models and plans and assisted in due diligence. Michael also led the implementation and standardization of KPIs, prepared regular reports for senior leadership and the Board of Directors, and contributed to finance team process improvements.
Before joining Dealer-FX Group, Michael held the position of Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis at Wave HQ. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Financial Analyst at Magna Closures, Magna Mirrors & Magna Roof Systems, and gained valuable experience as a Senior Accountant and Staff Accountant at KPMG Canada.
Michael's career began at BMO Financial Group, where they worked as a Customer Service Representative before transitioning into a teaching role as a Teaching Assistant at Ontario Tech University. Michael also gained professional experience as a Summer Intern in Audit and Risk Consulting at KPMG Canada and worked in customer service at Loblaw Companies Limited.

Michael Nicolaou, CPA, CA attended Ontario Tech University from 2009 to 2013, where they completed a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree in Accounting. In 2016, they obtained the Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant certificate from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario). Michael also received a Certificate of Lean Competency Level 1a from Lean Competency Services Ltd in the same year.
