Researcher Carbon Farming at ILVO (Instituut voor Landbouw, Visserij- en Voedingsonderzoek)
Hui Xu is a researcher specializing in carbon farming at the Instituut voor Landbouw-, Visserij- en Voedingsonderzoek since July 2023. Previously, Hui Xu served as a project manager at Cacaolab from February 2022 to May 2023, where responsibilities included coordinating the International Open Innovation Center on Cocoa & Chocolate Processing and developing marketing strategies for the Asian region. From November 2015 to November 2021, Hui Xu worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Ghent University, managing projects related to phosphorus filters and participating in EU collaborative efforts on nutrient recovery. Hui Xu holds a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from Ghent University, alongside master's degrees in Tropical Natural Resources Management and Food Technology from KU Leuven, and a bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Beijing Forestry University.
