Alessandro L Basso

Alessandro L Basso, PhD, MBA, currently serves as a Senior Computer Vision & AI Engineer at iMAGE S S.p.A. since January 2023. Prior to this role, Alessandro was the CEO and Co-founder of MecTho from October 2015 to December 2022, focusing on the development of 3D Vision Systems for logistics and airport service management, as well as advanced machine learning and AI classification systems. Alessandro's experience also includes serving as an R&D Project Leader at Mechanica Group and as a Senior Development Engineer & Project Manager at ISS srl, where contributions were made to robot driving systems and quality control systems. A researcher at Vision Bricks Lab at Politecnico di Milano between 2008 and June 2014 further enriched Alessandro's expertise. Educational achievements include an Executive MBA from POLIMI Graduate School of Management, a European PhD, and a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, as well as a year as a Research Postgraduate Student at Imperial College London.
