Staff Hardware Engineer/sub-system Lead at Imagination Technologies

Rachid Bouziane, PhD, is an experienced hardware engineer with expertise in ASIC design and verification. Rachid has worked for multiple companies, including Imagination Technologies, where they held various roles such as Staff Hardware Engineer/Sub-system Lead and Leading Hardware Design Engineer. At Imagination Technologies, Rachid was responsible for writing functional and micro-architecture/implementation specifications and conducting feature assessments. Prior to their work at Imagination Technologies, they served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at University College London, where they focused on digital signal processing and FPGA/ASIC hardware design for high-speed optical fiber communication systems. Rachid also has experience in tutoring and mentoring students in mathematics, science, and computer architecture. Rachid has worked as a Tutor/Mentor at Independent School Tutoring, providing one-on-one tuition to students of different levels. Additionally, Rachid has held roles at Intel Corporation, Nokia, and Xyratex, gaining further experience in research and development of hardware and software tools.

Rachid Bouziane, PhD, received their education in various institutions and fields of study. Rachid obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Electronic Engineering with Communications Engineering from UCL in 2008. Rachid then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from UCL, completing it in 2013. During their doctoral program, they also took intensive courses and workshops in Business Administration and Management, General from UCL (2009-2013). In 2009, Rachid was a Visiting Scholar at Carnegie Mellon University, specializing in Electrical and Computer Engineering. In 2011 and 2013, they attended the London Business School for electives in Entrepreneurship and Management. Additionally, in 2012, they briefly studied Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Rachid has also obtained multiple certifications in various fields, such as Advanced Verification using UVM and SystemVerilog For Design and Verification from Cadence Design Systems, LabVIEW Core 1 from National Instruments, and others.
