Cassie Foxen's work experience includes serving as a Quality Experience Director and Staff Communications and Development Director at Imagine the Possibilities, Inc. since 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Regional Manager and LTSS Service Coordinator at Amerigroup starting in 2015. Cassie also served as an IHH Care Coordinator at Abbe Center for Community Mental Health Iowa City from 2014 to 2015. Before that, they worked as a Social Worker and Social Work Intern at The Salvation Army from 2013 to 2014. Cassie was a Direct Care Professional at The Arc of Southeast Iowa from 2009 to 2013 and held the role of Supported Community Living Staff at Exceptional Persons, Inc. (EPI) from 2011 to 2012. Cassie started their career as a Page at the Iowa House of Representatives in 2009.
Cassie Foxen obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Social Work from the University of Northern Iowa, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including "Become an L&D Professional," "Train the Trainer," "Creating a Leadership Development Program," "Developing Managers in Organizations," "Gamification of Learning," and "Organizational Learning and Development" from LinkedIn. Cassie also holds certifications in "Bridges out of Poverty," "Medication Manager," "Mental Health First Aid," and "SOAR (SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access, and Recovery)" from various institutions.

In 1973, a group of individuals banded together to form what would later be known as Imagine the Possibilities – a nonprofit organization that is purposed to serve individuals with disabilities. While not known then, the leaders of this organization would later join many other like-minded organizations across the state of Iowa that all had one common theme in mind – to empower people to reach individual achievement across the spectrum of life.
