Nivedita Namdev

Nivedita Namdev has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Nivedita is currently serving as the Senior Director of Medicinal Chemistry at Imago BioSciences, Inc., a subsidiary of Merck & Co. Inc. Since joining in July 2022, they have been leading medicinal chemistry efforts.

Prior to their current role, Nivedita worked as a Consultant for a biotech company from June 2017 to June 2022.

From February 2015 to June 2017, Nivedita was the Director of Medicinal Chemistry at Tokai Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Nivedita was responsible for designing and implementing medicinal chemistry strategies for a prostate cancer asset. Nivedita'sefforts resulted in identifying pre-clinical candidates.

Before that, Nivedita worked at ArQule, where they held multiple positions. From January 2013 to December 2014, they served as an Associate Director and led kinase inhibitor programs in oncology, contributing to the identification of a preclinical candidate. From January 2011 to January 2013, they were a Senior Lead Investigator at the same company.

Nivedita's earlier career includes roles at ArQule Inc. as a Lead Investigator and Senior Investigator, where they worked from 2005 to 2010. Before that, they worked as a Senior Scientist III at UCB Pharma from June 2001 to October 2004.

Nivedita began their career in the industry at PPD, where they worked as a Scientist II from March 1999 to June 2001. Prior to that, Nivedita was a Postdoctoral Fellow at RTI International from 1997 to 1999.

Nivedita Namdev's education history spans from 1990 to 1997. Nivedita completed their Master of Science degree in Heterocyclic and Organic Chemistry at Brock University from 1990 to 1992. Following that, they pursued a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at Purdue University from 1992 to 1997.
