Berkant Savas

Berkant Savas has a diverse work experience in various academic and business roles. Berkant started their career as a Postdoctoral scholar at The University of Texas at Austin from March 2009 to February 2011. Berkant then joined Linköping University as a Researcher from March 2011 to April 2014. Their research focused on large-scale computations for graph and network problems, including link prediction and group recommendation. From May 2014 onwards, Berkant served as a Senior Lecturer in Applied Mathematics at Linköping University. In February 2015, they founded their own company, iMatrics, where they held the position of Founder and CEO. Berkant recently transitioned to the role of Chief Business Development Officer at iMatrics in June 2021.

Berkant Savas obtained their Ph.D. degree in Scientific Computing from Linköping University. Berkant pursued this degree from 2003 to 2008. Prior to that, from 1998 to 2003, they completed their M.Sc. degree in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering from the same university.
