Abdul Rehman

Abdul Rehman's work experience includes serving as the Senior Vice President & Chief Product Officer at IMAX Corporation, where they are responsible for driving product strategy in Streaming & Consumer Technology. Prior to that, they held leadership roles at SVTA, including Co-Chair of the Quality of Experience Working Group and Co-Chair of the Metadata Working Group. Abdul is also an Official Member of the Forbes Technology Council. Abdul Rehman was the Co-Founder, CEO, and CTO of SSIMWAVE Inc, which was acquired by IMAX, and led the company to success, earning a Technology & Engineering Emmy Award. Abdul has also worked at the University of Waterloo as a Technology Commercialization Lead and Software Development Lead, as well as at BlackBerry and Technical University Munich in various software development roles.

Abdul Rehman received a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Information and Communication Systems from the University of Waterloo from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed a Masters of Science in Communications Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich from 2007 to 2009.
