Ed Whelan is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in technical services and management within the film and motorsports industries. Since 1997, Ed has served as Senior Manager of Imax Technical Services for the Americas, overseeing a network of over 600 theaters and leading a skilled team in process enhancements and performance standards. Concurrently, Ed has been the Team Principal of AJW Motorsports since 2009, focusing on driver development and engineering in open wheeled motorsports. Previously, Ed worked at CPI Corp. from 1989 to 1997 as a Technical Services and Production Supervisor, managing preventative maintenance in a high-volume commercial film lab. Ed holds a Bachelor of Technology in Film/Video and Photographic Technology from Ryerson University and an Associate's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Sheridan College.
