Carl Strempel

Carl Strempel has worked in a variety of roles since 2006. Carl began their career as an Audit Supervisor at KPMG, followed by a role as Financial Manager (Investment Division) at UCS Group in 2009. In 2011, they moved to Deutsche Telekom as Financial Controller (Technology), and in 2012 they became Financial Controller UK & Ireland at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. In 2016, they became Project Manager at Tesco PLC, and in 2017 they moved to Jumia as CFO Southern & East Africa. Most recently, in 2018, they took on the role of Co-Founder / CFO at IMburse - Payments Marketplace.

Carl Strempel obtained their IEB Matric from Deutsche Schule Pretoria. Carl then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Accounting from the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria, which they completed in 2005. Following this, they earned a Master's degree in Taxation from the same university in 2010. Additionally, they are a Chartered Accountant certified by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
