Robbert Heederik

Robbert Heederik is a highly experienced professional in the field of technology and trading, currently serving as a Senior Technical Advisor and CTO at IMC Markets, along with roles as Partner and Head of Trading Infrastructure and Performance since February 2006. At IMC Financial Markets, a leading proprietary trading firm with global offices, Robbert focuses on optimizing low-latency electronic trading systems across various international markets. Prior to this, Robbert worked at the University of Amsterdam from 1993 to 2006, initially as a Teaching Assistant, then as a Scientific Programmer, and ultimately as a Senior Software Engineer, where responsibilities included IT infrastructure innovation and enhancing operational procedures. Robbert holds a degree from the University of Amsterdam, completed in 1996.
