Vijay Thomas

Vijay Thomas is an experienced derivatives trader, currently holding a position at IMC Trading since March 2020, focusing on market making and positional derivatives strategies for Kospi 200. Prior experience includes a role as a derivatives trader at Optiver Asia Pacific from February 2016 to March 2019, where trading activities involved equity derivatives across Hong Kong and Korea with a focus on cross-APAC volatility arbitrage. Early career experience includes an internship at EY as an Enterprise Intelligence intern in late 2014, an academic tutor for HSC level Mathematics between 2011 and 2013, and a research scholarship at the University of Sydney where studies concentrated on machine learning and optimization algorithms.
