Buche Ivy's work experience includes positions at IMD Business School, Learning Synergies Venture, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Nanyang Technological University, and Tata Motors. They have held various roles such as Associate Director, Business Transformation Initiative and Business Transformation Project Manager. They have also worked as a Principal Consultant and Action Learning Coach, Free Lance Case Writer, and Case Writer.

Buche Ivy completed a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology between 1982 and 1996. Later, in 2003 to 2005, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Human Capital Management from Nanyang Technological University Singapore. They then pursued an Executive Master in Management Research from the ESCP Business School from 2020 to 2022. Currently, Buche Ivy is enrolled in an Executive PhD program in Corporate Purpose and Strategy at the ESCP Business School, which they started in 2020. They also possess additional certifications as an Action Learning Coach and in Active Reviewing Skills - Facilitating and Transferring Learning from Experience, acquired in 2013.
