Anabela Veloso has a strong background in research and development, specializing in CMOS technologies and device integration. Anabela has worked at imec since 2001, starting as a Device Integration Engineer and progressing to the role of Principal Engineer. In their current role, they lead projects related to nanowire-FET devices, logic with functional backside, buried power rails, and n-TSVs. Anabela has also been consulted by their peers on various topics and has contributed their expertise to other projects and activities within imec. Prior to working at imec, Anabela was an R&D Engineer at Infineon Technologies. Anabela also conducted research as a PhD Researcher at INESC-MN, working on advanced spin valve read heads for recording densities. Anabela has a proven track record of conducting research, collaborating with industry partners, and delivering valuable insights in their field.
Anabela Veloso completed their education at the Instituto Superior Técnico. From 1991 to 1996, they obtained their MSc in Applied Physics Engineering. Following this, they pursued a PhD in the same field and graduated in 2002.
