Annelies Daenen

Annelies Daenen has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over 27 years. Annelies is currently working as the Talent Management Director at imec, where they are responsible for developing the future of talent development and enablement. Annelies supports management and leadership teams with training, coaching, and development initiatives based on imec culture and values. Annelies also guides a team of colleagues in revisiting the scope of Learning and Development (L&D), engagement, and wellbeing, blending a people-first approach in line with changing business imperatives. Annelies contributes to the optimal use of current and evolving technology in the domains of L&D, engagement, and wellbeing.

Prior to their current role, Annelies served as the HR Director at Heilig-Hartziekenhuis Lier from 2018 to 2021. Before that, they worked at the Agfa Group from 2011 to 2021, holding various roles including Global Head of Talent Acquisition and Development and Head of Staffing and Global HR Business Partner for HealthCare Services. Annelies played a pivotal role in professionalizing the Staffing function and reducing recruitment costs by implementing direct sourcing approaches and introducing a Global Applicant Tracking System. Annelies also significantly increased internal mobility within the company by implementing career coaching, people reviews, and an assignment center.

Annelies started their career in 1994 as a Lawyer at Tritsmans & Huyghe. Annelies then transitioned into the field of Human Resources, working as an HR Manager at Electrabel and N-Allo (a subsidiary of Electrabel) before joining Agfa Gevaert as an HR Manager for the Benelux region in the Healthcare and Graphics sectors.

Annelies Daenen has a diverse education history. Annelies obtained their Master in Law from Kathlolieke Universiteit Leuven in 1993. In 1994, they pursued a License spéciale en droit économique from Université catholique de Louvain. Later, in 1998, they completed an Executive Management training with a focus on Human Resources from the University of Antwerp. Annelies also attended Vlerick Business School in 2006, studying HR with an impact. Additionally, in 2015, they obtained a certification as a Certified Stress & Burnout Coach from HRD Academy.
