Annelies started their career in 1994 as a Lawyer at Tritsmans & Huyghe. Annelies then transitioned into the field of Human Resources, working as an HR Manager at Electrabel and N-Allo (a subsidiary of Electrabel) before joining Agfa Gevaert as an HR Manager for the Benelux region in the Healthcare and Graphics sectors.

In 1994, they pursued a License spéciale en droit économique from Université catholique de Louvain. Later, in 1998, they completed an Executive Management training with a focus on Human Resources from the University of Antwerp. Annelies also attended Vlerick Business School in 2006, studying HR with an impact. Additionally, in 2015, they obtained a certification as a Certified Stress & Burnout Coach from HRD Academy.
