Romano Hoofman, PhD, is the Strategic Development Director at imec IC-link, where they have been responsible for innovation programs and strategic coordination since 2016. They began their career as a Principal Scientist at Philips Research, progressing through various roles in R&D at NXP Semiconductors, focusing on microelectronics and biosensor technology. Romano holds a PhD from Delft University of Technology and has authored over 30 publications while holding more than 10 patents. Additionally, they serve as the General Manager for EUROPRACTICE and the Coordinator for the EU Chips Design Platform.
