Serge Vanhaelemeersch

Serge Vanhaelemeersch began their work experience in 1989 as a process engineer in dry etch at IMEC. In 2008, they joined imec company, where they held various roles such as department director and chief technologist. As department director, they were responsible for managing a department of over 150 engineers and scientists from different backgrounds. Serge had budget and equipment investment responsibilities, as well as managing the scientific output of the department. As chief technologist, they played a key role in identifying new business needs and opportunities and steering joint development projects with key tool and material suppliers.

Serge Vanhaelemeersch holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Chemistry from KU Leuven.
