Mario Gil Fernandez

Mario Gil Fernandez, MsC, PMP, serves as a Senior Industrial Project Manager at Imerys since August 2020, overseeing performance minerals in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, as well as managing projects related to Fiberlean. Previously, Mario held the position of Senior Project Manager at Tarmac from May 2014 to August 2020, where responsibilities included managing the New Cement Mill project at Dunbar Cement Plant. Experience also encompasses a senior role at Socimat under the Holcim Group, managing a significant grinding line project in Ivory Coast, and extensive project management roles at Holcim España, where over 145 capital projects across various plants were executed. Early career experience at IDESA involved managing projects for the oil and gas sector. Mario holds degrees in Industrial Engineering from both the Technical University of Denmark and the Universidad de Oviedo.
