Matthew Vicens

Matthew Vicens is a Senior Mine Engineer at Imerys since September 2019, with a strong background in mine planning and engineering. Prior to this role, Matthew worked as a Mine Planning Engineer at Covia, where responsibilities included creating mid and long-term mine plans and conducting ground surveys. Before Covia, Matthew was employed at Unimin Corporation for over a decade, starting as an Engineer in Training and advancing to Mine Planning Engineer, where extensive work involved developing Five Year Mine Plans and communicating with plant management to enhance productivity. Matthew also completed various training programs, including project engineering and process improvement studies. Matthew holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics from The Ohio State University, complemented by earlier studies at North Carolina State University.
