Zbyněk Chlup

Zbyněk Chlup has extensive experience in the field of welding and quality control. Zbyněk started their career at MBNS - International, spol. s r.o. in 2010, where they worked as a Quality Control Specialist, specializing in the creation of high-quality production documentation for various devices. In 2014, they were promoted to Lead Quality Control, where they took on the responsibility of preparing project quality based on customer requirements and acting as the main contact for customer inspections.

In 2018, Chlup joined IMI CCI as a Quality Assurance Engineer, where they were responsible for the incoming inspection of delivered materials and parts, as well as the inspection and release of stock parts and materials for customer projects. Zbyněk then moved on to become a Welding Engineer (IWE), where their responsibilities included creating welding documentation for customer projects and cooperating with suppliers of welded parts.

Chlup's role at IMI CCI further advanced to Project Quality Engineer, where they prepared project quality based on customer requirements and acted as the main contact for customer inspections. Zbyněk then took on the role of Welding Engineer & Project Quality Engineer, ensuring the execution of WPQR/PQR and certification of welders according to EN and ASME standards.

Chlup's most recent position at IMI CCI is Head of Technology & Principal Welding Engineer, where they lead the ME and WE team for the Power sector, coordinates work including capacity planning, and ensures timely delivery of procedures/documentation. Zbyněk also provides cooperation and support with other manufacturing locations within IMI.

Zbyněk Chlup's education history includes obtaining an International Welding Engineer (IWE) degree from Brno University of Technology in 2019. Prior to that, they earned an Engineer's degree (Ing.) in Manufacturing Engineering from Tomas Bata University in Zlín between 2017 and 2019. Zbyněk also holds a Bachelor's degree (Bc.) in Production and Quality Management from the same university, acquired from 2014 to 2017. Before attending Tomas Bata University, Zbyněk Chlup completed a Diplomovaný specialista (DiS.) in Computer Support in Managing Mechanical Engineering Companies at Vyšší odborná škola technická Sokolská from 2012 to 2014. Zbyněk began their higher education at Brno University of Technology in 2010, studying the basics of mechanical engineering for two years. Prior to that, they completed secondary education with a focus on Information Technology at Střední škola informačních technologií Purkyňova 97, Brno, from 2006 to 2010. Additionally, Zbyněk Chlup has acquired certifications in Visual Testing Level II (ISO EN 9712), Ultrasonic Testing Level II (ISO EN 9712), and SolidCAM.
