David S.G Baxter BSc (Hons) MRICS

David S.G Baxter has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. David S.G started their career as a Loss Adjuster at Ellis & Buckle, where they handled construction claims and managed subsidence claims. David S.G then joined Cunningham Lindsey as a Senior Surveyor, where they managed a team of surveyors and handled large-scale commercial and property claims. Additionally, they served as a catastrophe surveyor in the Caribbean.

Afterwards, David worked as a Principal Surveyor at Baily Garner LLP, where they focused on surveying and project management. David S.G then became a Business Owner at David Baxter Associates, managing clients such as West Midlands Police, Focus Housing, and various RSLs for project refurbishment works on large-scale portfolios.

In 2003, David joined Axis International Loss Adjusters as a Director, and later became the Director of Mitig8 Limited in 2007. As Director, they provided strategic risk analysis for major construction building projects and heavy civil engineering infrastructure. David S.G also served as a board member of the RICS and past Chairman of the RICS Building Surveying Division.

David went on to establish Mitig8 Risk Management LLC in 2011, where they served as the Managing Director. The company focused on risk engineering and management.

In 2016, David took on the role of RICS Florida Chapter Chair at RICS. David S.G also served as the Chapter Chair for RICS Southeast starting from 2020.

Most recently, David founded iMitig8 Risk LLC in 2018, where they serve as the Founder and CEO. The company offers a mobile app platform that allows insurers and brokers to allocate risk engineering inspections. The platform collects improvement recommendations from risk engineers and tracks them until closed by the insured. It also provides data and trends on risk scores and offers proactive suggestions for risk score improvement.

David S.G Baxter obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Building Surveying from Birmingham City University, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Prior to that, they completed a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Construction Engineering from Sandwell Technical College, between 1993 and 1995. Before their HND, they pursued a Higher National Certificate in Building Studies at Sandwell Technical College from 1992 to 1993. David also holds a degree from Garrets Green College, where they completed the Chartered Institute of Building program specializing in Building Construction Technology from 1990 to 1992.
