Daniel Richard Potts

Daniel Potts currently serves as a Global Security Advisor at iMMAP since May 2023. Previously, Daniel was the Regional Security Manager at Mercy Corps, overseeing security operations for the Ukraine Response in multiple countries. Prior experience includes the role of Country Director at the International NGO Safety Organisation, where Daniel led a large team in Iraq, and Deputy Director, managing security advisors in Afghanistan. Earlier, Daniel worked as a Safety Advisor in Eastern Afghanistan, providing critical security information to partner NGOs. Daniel began their career at Sayara International as a Program Associate, focusing on analysis of socio-political developments in Afghanistan. Daniel holds a Master's degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from American University.
