Friba Sarka

Friba a human resources (HR) officer based in Erbil, Iraq. She ensures that all due processes, contracts, and formalities are implemented according to the iMMAP global policies for iMMAP personnel while providing managers with candidate screenings.

Friba joined iMMAP in 2017 as a HR assistant. Prior to joining iMMAP, she worked with organizations such as Swedoo, Norwegian Refugee Council, DAMA and ACTED for nearly two years in various roles. She has gained experience in strategic human resource planning, performance management, staffing, employment contract, employee benefits, compensation and payroll, in humanitarian settings and projects.

Friba holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mineral Engineering & Management and a Diploma in English Language, both from the University of Kurdistan Hawler (UKH) in Erbil. She is a fluent English, Kurdish, Turkish and Arabic, and has working knowledge of French.
