Erik is Professor of Computer Science at MIT. He received the prestigious MacArthur Fellowship at age 22, as a “computational geometer tackling and solving difficult problems related to folding and bending—moving readily between the theoretical and the playful, with a keen eye to revealing the former in the latter.” Erik’s honors include a Guggenheim Fellowship, Nerode Prize, Presburger Award, Katayanagi Emerging Leadership Prize, Spira Award for Distinguished Teaching, Popular Science “Brilliant 10” and Boston Magazine’s “40 Bostonians to Watch.”
