Sarah Houston is an accomplished attorney and policy coordinator with extensive experience in law, education, and advocacy. Currently serving as a Staff Attorney at Immigrant Defenders Law Center since March 2023, Sarah also holds the position of Coordinator at Turkish Heritage Organization, where responsibilities include writing on US-Turkish relations, organizing think tank events, and leading a refugee education project. Previous roles include Associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Political Director for David Trone's congressional campaign, and Educational Teaching Assistant with The Turkish Fulbright Commission. Sarah's educational background includes a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law, an MA in Gender and Development from the Institute of Development Studies, and a degree in Political Science and Film/Media Production from Pepperdine University.
