John Travis

John Travis currently serves as Managing Attorney at Immigrant Justice Corps, a position held since August 2024. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Attorney at Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) from June 2021 to August 2024 and Supervising Attorney for the Community Legal Clinic Project at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York from September 2015 to June 2021. John Travis was also an Immigrant Justice Corps Fellow and an intern at KIND from September 2012 to May 2015. Additional experience includes a legal internship in the Immigration Unit at Greater Boston Legal Services, research assistant role at Boston University School of Law, research associate at the Brennan Center for Justice, and bilingual legal interviewer at The Bar Association of San Francisco. John Travis earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Boston University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
