Maria Nava Palma

Maria Nava Palma is a DOJ Accredited Representative at Immigrant Justice Corps, where responsibilities include screening community members, assisting with immigration benefit applications, and participating in legal clinics. Previously, Maria served as a Spanish Speaking Clinical Research Coordinator at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where skills in data security and research were utilized to translate resources for bilingual participants. Maria's mentorship experiences at the UCSB Undergraduate Mentorship Program and the Educational Opportunity Program involved supporting first-year students and promoting academic success. Additionally, roles such as Exam Proctor with UCSB's Disabled Student Program and Guest Services Representative for UCSB Housing highlighted strong communication and organizational abilities. Maria holds a Bachelor's degree in International/Global Studies from UC Santa Barbara.
