Carolyn Duvar

National Healthcare Language Program - Program Lead at Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia

Carolyn Duvar is an experienced education professional with a strong background in English as an Additional Language (EAL) instruction and curriculum development. Currently serving as a Curriculum Developer at the Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia since April 2017, Carolyn conducts needs assessments, collaborates with subject matter experts, and designs blended courses. Carolyn also serves as an EAL Instructor, teaching adult learners across a range of proficiency levels and course formats. Previously, Carolyn held positions with the Halifax Regional School Board and other educational institutions, where responsibilities included designing lesson plans and instructional materials, as well as delivering training in various settings. Holding an MA in Educational Technology from Concordia University and a BA Honours in English from Acadia University, Carolyn possesses a comprehensive skill set in instructional design and e-learning.
