Jody Brennan

Jody Brennan is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership and policy management across various sectors. Currently serving as the Assistant Deputy Chairperson for the Refugee Appeal Division and a member of the Immigration Appeal Division at the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada since March 2019, Jody has a robust background in advocacy and strategic partnerships from a previous role as Director at Status of Women Canada. Additional experience includes serving as Regional Director for Western, NWT, and Yukon, and working as a Sessional Instructor at the University of Alberta. Career foundations were built with roles including Senior Military Officer in the Department of National Defence, various positions at Western Economic Diversification Canada, and management of mediation programs in Alberta. Jody holds multiple degrees, including an MA and advanced citations in Global Leadership and Executive Development from the University of Alberta and the University of Victoria.
