Lorena Tule-Romain has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Lorena co-founded and served as the Chief Operating Officer of ImmSchools, a role they held from June 2017. Lorena also served as a co-founder and National Board Member of ImmSchools from 2017 to April 2019. Lorena was a Managing Director and Director at Teach For America, starting in November 2017 and ending in 2019. Prior to that, they served as a Manager for DACA Corps Member Support at Teach For America from October 2014 to 2017. Lorena also worked as an Annual Star on the Rise Scholarship Coordinator at The Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in 2014. Lorena worked as an Interpreter/Translator Freelancer for English-Spanish services from December 2013 to February 2014. Lorena gained teaching experience as an Assistant English Teacher at Colegio Nueva Granada from May 2013 to December 2013. Lorena was also a Grassroots Organizer at the Law Office Of Domingo Garcia from June 2008 to January 2013. Additionally, Lorena worked as a Campaign Field Coordinator for a political campaign from August 2012 to November 2012. Lorena was the President and a Member of Longhorn LULAC from August 2007 to 2011. Currently, Lorena is a City of Dallas Park and Recreation Board Member, a position they have held since November 2019 and is expected to continue until 2022. Overall, Lorena has a strong background in education, nonprofit management, grassroots organizing, and community involvement.

Lorena Tule-Romain holds a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree from Southern Methodist University since 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Education (MEd) degree at the same institution from 2018 to 2020. Lorena obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from The University of Texas at Austin between 2007 and 2011. Lorena also pursued Government and Hispanic Studies, earning a Certificate in Ethics and Leadership during the same period. In 2022, they obtained a certification in Social and Behavioral Research from the CITI Program.
