Michael Quam

Michael Quam is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in system design and automation within the medical and technology sectors. Currently serving as a Principal Systems Engineer at Immucor, Inc. since January 2017, Michael focuses on the design of automated blood banking systems and in vitro diagnostic medical devices, while managing product life cycles and change control processes. Prior roles include Consulting Engineer and Electrical/Systems Engineer at Nanometrics, where project management and automation led significant contributions. Furthermore, Michael has a rich history at Western Digital and Seagate Technology, developing automated systems for data storage devices and electrical test systems for disk drive components. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
