Alena Jiraskova has extensive work experience in the field of biocuration and clinical data curation. Alena started their career as a Research Scientist at the Institute of Microbiology, CAS in 2004 and later worked as a Research Scientist at Charles University in Prague from 2006 to 2017. In 2017, they joined NEBION (now Immunai) as a Biocurator and subsequently became the Biocuration Team Lead in 2019. Currently, they are working at Immunai as the Associate Director of Clinical Data Curation since January 2023. Additionally, they had a short-term research fellowship at the University of Leeds in 2005.
Alena Jiraskova has a strong educational background in the field of science. Alena obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbiology from Charles University, where they studied from 2002 to 2007. Prior to their PhD, they completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Molecular Biology at Charles University, which they pursued from 1995 to 2001. Additionally, they obtained another MS degree in Biomedicine from KU Leuven between 2001 and 2004.
