Shyam Unniraman

Shyam Unniraman has held various roles in the field of Immunology since 2001. Shyam began their career as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and Associate Research Scientist at Yale University School of Medicine, then moved on to become an Assistant Professor of Immunology & Biochemistry at Duke University in 2008. In 2013, they became the Head of Immunology and Immuno-Oncology at 1Globe Health Institute, and most recently, they were appointed Senior Director, Head of Immunology at ImmuneID in 2021.

Shyam Unniraman obtained their B.Sc. in Human Biology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in 1994. Shyam then went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Mycobacteria, topoisomerase, enzymology, and transcription termination at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) from 1991 to 2001.
