Matej Ondrus

Matej Ondrus currently serves as the Senior Medical Director at Immunic Therapeutics since June 2021. Ondrus has extensive experience in psychiatry, working as a clinician at simaMENT since January 2013, where responsibilities include counseling, diagnosing, and treating patients with mental health issues, as well as assessing patients in clinical trials. Prior to Immunic Therapeutics, Ondrus held the position of Senior Medical Director at Worldwide Clinical Trials from August 2020 to June 2021 and was the Medical Director at AXON Neuroscience SE from October 2014 to July 2020, where leadership was focused on developing an active vaccine for neurodegenerative disorders. Additional roles include Clinical Research Physician at Astellas Pharma in 2014, various research and clinical positions at H. Lundbeck A/S from 1999 to 2012, and residency at a private practice in psychiatry. Ondrus began medical training at Psychiatric Hospital Velke Zaluzie in 1998.
