Andrew Moss has extensive experience in the field of ecological waste management and energy production. Andrew currently serves as the VP of Research & Development at Chomp, a company that specializes in converting food waste into valuable resources through the use of anaerobic digestion. Prior to this role, Andrew was the owner of Core Ecology LLC, where they provided scientific consulting and research services to progressive farmers and businesses in waste management. Andrew also worked as the Technical Director and Managing Partner at Planet Found Energy Development LLC, focusing on energy development projects. Andrew's experience in anaerobic digestion and waste treatment includes roles such as Anaerobic Digester Analyst and Manager at Kilby's Incorporated and SARE Research & Extension Assistant at The University of Maryland. Andrew has also worked in various environmental conservation roles, including as a Soil Erosion Consultant in Guatemala and a Wetland Biology Contractor for the Tennessee Valley Authority. Andrew has a strong background in research and has conducted studies on anaerobic digestion in developing world settings. Andrew holds expertise in microbiological nutrient removal and phytoremediation.
Andrew Moss has a strong educational background in the field of environmental studies and science. Andrew obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies and a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science & Soils from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, completing these degrees between 1999 and 2005. Following this, they pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Ecological Technology Design from the University of Maryland between 2009 and 2011. In addition to their formal education, Andrew Moss also holds a certification as a Certified Wetland Delineator, which was obtained from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in January 2006.
