Rekha Unnithan

Rekha Unnithan, CFA has an extensive work history in finance and impact investment. Rekha currently serves as the Global Head of Private Equity Impact at Nuveen, a TIAA company, a role they have held since March 2023. Prior to this, they were the Co-Head of Private Equity Impact at Nuveen from November 2019 to March 2023. Rekha also worked as a Portfolio Manager at Nuveen from January 2012 to November 2019.

In addition to their work at Nuveen, Rekha has served as a Board Member for various organizations. Rekha is currently a Board Member at Ecozen since January 2023, Kinara Capital since June 2022, and IMPACT Community Capital LLC since January 2017. Rekha was also a Board Member at Samunnati Financial Intermediation & Services Private Limited from May 2019 to November 2023, Aavishkaar from December 2018 to May 2023, Aeris Insight Inc. from March 2018 to January 2023, and View, Inc from February 2017 to November 2017.

Earlier in their career, Rekha held positions at US Trust as a Vice President from April 2011 to January 2012 and at Bank of America as a Vice President from January 2009 to March 2011.
