Rod Uchytil has extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry. Rod currently holds the position of President and Chief Executive Officer at Impact Fluid Solutions since April 2015. Prior to that, they worked at Halliburton as Vice President, Project Management from December 2011 to April 2015.
From 2008 to 2011, Uchytil was President and CEO of Xtreme Drilling and Coil Services, where they successfully rebranded the company and was responsible for the overall operations of a 22-rig company providing drilling and masted coiled tubing service rigs.
Before that, Uchytil served as the Chief Operations Officer at Coil-X Drilling Services Corporation from September 2007 to May 2008.
From 1995 to 2007, Uchytil worked at Schlumberger in various roles. Rod served as an Engineering and Operations Manager from August 2004 to September 2007, providing oversight to IPM projects globally. Rod was also a General Director - Siberian Geophysics Company from December 2003 to July 2004, responsible for executing a business improvement plan. Uchytil held the position of Country Manager - Indonesia from July 2001 to November 2003, managing all IPM operations in Indonesia. Prior to that, they served as a Drilling Manager from November 1999 to June 2001, including an integrated project with Benton Vinccler. Uchytil began their career at Schlumberger in 1995, holding various positions in engineering and operations.
Before joining Schlumberger, Uchytil worked at Chevron as a Drilling Engineer from May 1988 to June 1995, gaining experience in drilling wellsite supervision and drilling engineering in Canada, including Arctic projects.
Rod Uchytil attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) from 1986 to 1988. During this time, they pursued a degree in Petroleum Engineering Technology and obtained an honors degree.
