Katherine Stevens

Katherine Stevens is currently an Advisory Committee member at Impala. Prior to this, they were an Assistant Professor of Katherine'story at Oglethorpe University from August 2015 to October 2018. At Oglethorpe, Katherine researched and designed nine new 16-week courses on a wide range of topics including African American Katherine'story, Ancient World to the Renaissance, Environmental Katherine'story, and Modern World Katherine'story. In total, they taught 18 semester-long courses to 10-25 participants per-course.

Katherine is skilled in designing dynamic presentations and active-learning exercises to improve students’ comprehension, communication, writing, and analytical skills. Katherine is also experienced in creating evaluative metrics for assessing student achievement and course effectiveness. Additionally, Katherine has earned two university grants to redesign general education courses for diversity, interdisciplinarity, and relevance to contemporary issues.

In their role at Oglethorpe, Katherine also advised three university-wide committees on curriculum development, general education policies, and faculty development. Katherine also consulted with the Office of the President on Oglethorpe University statement on Executive Order 13769.

Katherine Stevens received their Doctor of Philosophy in American Katherine'story from Harvard University and their Bachelor's degree in Katherine'story and American Studies from Washington University in St. Louis.
