Lisakhanya Gqibani

Lisakhanya Gqibani is currently an Engineer In Training at Implats since June 2022, gaining hands-on experience in the MinPro Smelter plant by focusing on operation and process flow as well as maintenance of components, and observing furnace rebuilds. In relation to the 12N TM3 reopening project, Lisakhanya has successfully executed various tasks assigned by the Project Engineer, including updating pipe and electrical reticulation diagrams, as well as conveyor belt layouts. Previous roles at Implats include reliever positions as Operations Engineer and Mechanical Foreman for specific production sections. Lisakhanya's foundational experience at Implats began with vacation student positions in December 2018 and December 2019. Academic credentials include a BSc Eng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, completed in November 2022.
