Galvin Khara

Galvin Khara is an accomplished researcher currently serving as a Research Fellow at the Supervised Program for Alignment Research, focusing on the removal of LayerNorm from LLMs and its implications for mechanistic interpretability. Galvin also holds the position of Honorary Research Associate at Imperial College London, engaging in novel machine learning applications within healthcare. A longstanding Staff Machine Learning Researcher at Kheiron Medical since 2017, Galvin has progressed through various roles in machine learning. Educationally, Galvin obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master's degree in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics from University College London, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from University College Cork. Prior research experience includes a Postgraduate Researcher role at University College London, focusing on computational simulations, and a summer internship at Tyndall National Institute in fibre-based biosensing.
