Ricardo Ribas

Ricardo Ribas, DVM, PhD, is a Senior Programme Manager at Imperial College London since October 2020, specializing in the development and management of national and international neonatal research databases, including the National Neonatal Research Database and the International Neonatal Research Database. Through this role, Ricardo oversees project management activities while providing academic support to the Neonatal Medicine Research Group. In addition to this position, Ricardo has maintained a freelance career in science communication since November 2000, contributing articles on veterinary medicine and scientific research. Previously, Ricardo served as a Senior Research Scientist at The Institute of Cancer Research, focusing on breast cancer research and managing multiple projects. Ricardo also holds experience as a Lecturer at ICBAS and has worked as a Veterinary Surgeon in various clinics. Academic credentials include a PhD in Veterinary Sciences from The University of Edinburgh and a veterinary medicine degree from Universidade do Porto.
