John Kamel

John Kamel has extensive experience in project management and execution within the oil and gas industry, currently serving as Projects Execution Team Lead and Project Development Manager at Imperial Oil since September 2017. Responsibilities include leading major project development through concept selection and optimization, developing execution plans, and identifying synergy opportunities. Prior to this, John served as a Project Manager and Project Controls Adviser, where tasks included developing project controls plans, managing change processes, and forecasting costs. Earlier roles at AltaGas Ltd. as a Project Management Consultant and Worley (formerly Jacobs Canada) as Project Control Manager further solidified skills in engineering and construction management. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Helwan University Cairo.
